The starting point of Hilda Kozári’s works is a combination of space, sensation and memory. She made her first multisensory experimental art works already in the 1990s, but in 2003 her immersive installation at Kiasma called AIR, Smell of Helsinki, Budapest and Paris sparked international attention.
Her exhibition at Kajaani Art Museum is a multisensory experience where you can experience scents, touch surfaces, hear sounds and music, and sometimes even taste the works, in addition to taking them in visually. Because Hilda Kozári works on long-term projects, the exhibition includes the principle of sustainable art and includes earlier works alongside new pieces.
