Our snowshoe trip starts with a snowmobile sleigh ride towards the fairytale-like Ärjänsaari Island, which is about 4km away.

We enjoy the scenery from the high sand dunes of Ärjänsaari to Finland’s widest lake ridge. We stop to listen to the whistling of the wind and enjoy the silence in the pure white snow paradise. You get to explore the snowy landscapes of Ärjänsaari under the guidance of a snowshoe instructor. At the same time, the guide tells about the nature and colorful history of the island.

We light campfires under the guidance of a guide, enjoy picnic lunches and drinks in the warmth of the campfire.

After this snowshoe trip, you will definitely want to come back in the summer and see the wonderful sand dunes of Ärjänsaari while the waves of the wide blue Ärjänselkä splash or the mirror-calm lake as the sun sets.
