The monument donated by Nyíregyháza, the twin town of Kajaani in Hungary, is located in the Kaukametsä area near the Kajaani River. It was unveiled on the occasion of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the town twinning in 1991.
The sculpture was made from a 500-year-old oak tree, is ten meters high and weighs five thousand kilograms. The artist personally carved the wooden parts and cast the bell.
