The art pieces by Leo Karsikas tell stories about life that was lived. His own family sensitized him to describe the dissonance in relationships, motherhood and the wonder of a child. Music inspired him to create abstract pieces – that would later on turn into figures made of bronze and steel. In addition to music, the Finnish national epic Kalevala has also been an inspiration for him.
Soon 70 years old Leo Karsikas aims at reaching the spectators with distinct shapes and trimmed beauty. He has always wanted to do everything by himself, experiment and succeed.
