Renfors trail offers some of the most beautiful scenes and sights of Kajaani, right by the city center.

Renfors trail follows cycling paths and park trails along the River Kajaaninjoki. Along the way you will see the ruins of Kajaani Castle, many statues, Tervakanava (the Tar canal) and the best river views in the city.

You can start from any point along the trail. The entire trail is 9.2 kilometres long, but it is also easy to walk only half of the route. There are no steep climbs or descents and the path is wide and flat all the way. The route is also suitable for people with reduced mobility.

There are several places along the trail where you can stop for a coffee and use a restroom. The trail passes by two hotels and Kauppatori (Market Square).
