The versatile facilities of Kaukametsä Conference and Cultural Centre, awarded for its architecture, are great for organising various events and concerts.

The Kaukametsä Conference and Cultural Centre is located in the middle of nature at the heart of the city on the banks of river Kajaaninjoki. The services of the meeting facilities of Kaukametsä, the Kaukavesi Aquatics Centre, the nearby city centre with its market squares and hotels, and the surrounding nature all complement one another.

The events held in Kaukametsä include concerts by Finland’s top artists, jazz and classical music concerts, versatile local music and lectures. The biggest annual events include the Kajaanin Runoviikko poetry week, Kajaani Dance festival and Kajaanin kevät spring festival.
